Daniel,

I also installed floppy access on every terminal. My users
(mainly students) are urged to backup their documents and their
exercises at least twice a week.

If they mess up the configuration of their applications and/or
the settings in their home directory, they know beforehand that
all that I'll do to help them out is to completely delete and
re-create their user account including their home directory.

In order to reconfigure all their applications for normal use,
they also know that they'll have to stay after regular school
hours. They stay until _I_ am completely satisfied that all the
applications they need on a daily basis are working 'pico bello'
and according to my high standards and demands again.

They're even evaluated and marked on how smoothly they perform
that elaborate task!

It helps! Believe me! Some of my students learned it the hard
way by being detained twice in a month. So far, none of them
needed a third config session ;-)

The only downside to this method is that in the process I have
to stay after school hours too ... :-(

Kind regards,
Wouter DeBacker
