Dear colleagues, I am in Brazil, and have been trying to setup the system you described in the www.ltsp.org documentation.
Unfortunately, I ran into a problem that is not described in any way in the documentation. My system is : Server: Mandrake 8.1 Client: Pc with Athlon 850 mhz, network card compatible with natsemi. We followed your instructions and managed to set up the server correctly, generated the diskette for the client and gave it a go. After the initialization, the client goes through its process, grabs the IP address defined in DHCP, downloads the kernel, mounts everything (it says : Running /linuxrc,Mounting /proc), and then give me the following error message: <snip> ERROR: Could not automatically detect the network card. PCI cards should be detected... ... Kernel panic: attempted to kill init! <snip> Thanks!!
