*** Hi John,
Welcome to LTSP! Glad to see you jumped in. I think I can help you
out. What I did was go to the /etc/X11/xinit directory, make a backup copy
of Xclients (in case you want to go back to way things were) then replace
XClients with something like this:

#! /bin/bash

/usr/local/bin/icewm

Assuming you compiled and installed ICE using its default file
locations. Otherwise substitute the appropriate path. As for customizing,
get your hands on the following:

icepref
iceme

I believe both are available on the ICE website. If not let me know and
I'll email them to you. Both iceme & icepref will create
menu/taskbar/ice preferences for the user who ran them. These files are
located in ~/.icewm. Once you're satisfied with the look for that one user
and wish to make it the default config for everyone simply copy the
menu, taskbar, and preferences files to ICEs global configs. Again assuming
default paths those files will be in:

/usr/local/lib/X11/icewm

Let me know how you make out :)
