Pure bandwidth? 800x600, 25fps = 800 * 600 * 3 (24 bit) * 25 bytes/s
= 34 MB/s
320x240, 25fps = 5.5 MB/s
Doesn't take into account X, TCP/UDP, IP, or any other overhead.
Doesn't take into account spare bandwidth to take care of jumps or
spikes, or doesn't take care of network cards that get overstressed, or
other networking equipment problems.
Of course, for DVD, try VLC, www.videolan.org -- sends compressed
streams over the network.
