Hi,

I took the suggestion from this list with reference to my subject "best
solution". I set up a test environment using my systems a P2 233, 64 mb
ram, RH 7.0 and LTSP V3.0 as the server and a couple of 486's. One with
8 MB ram and one with 16 MB ram. The only problem that I faced is with
getting X to work at first. I could not get the resolution, the depth.
Finally I opted for an easy way out. Since I had RH installed on each
486 I copied their XF86Config's file to the ltsp's /etc/ and Bingo! it
works.

I have not set up local applications as yet. I just hope it as easy as
I set it up now. The client was very impressed. Now I will swap the
hard disk to their server, increase ram atleast to 512, I am trying to
get them to buy 1G but unless I prove that I need that much which wont
be too difficult.

I am using KDE as the window manager and using the server's XFS.

Once again, thanks to every one. A bit of advice to all the newbies.
Do not get carried away by advice that "to walk away". Unless you try
you will never learn and never master this Open Source thing.

Regards

Adrian
