Buddy, You are using XF86_SVGA, but you didn't say what kind of video chipset you have on that workstation.
I've got my mind-reading helmet on, and from what the signals are telling me, you've probably got an S3 chipset. So, I recommend that if my mind-reading excersize is correct, then you need to use the XF86_S3 Xserver. Otherwise, please let us know what kind of video chipset you have, so we can recommend the proper Xserver.
