Did you install the ltsp_x_fonts package ?

And, what do you have USE_XFS set to ?

If USE_XFS is set to 'N', then it will use the fonts
supplied in the ltsp_x_fonts package.

If USE_XFS is set to 'Y', then it will use the X Font Server,
and you need to configure that on your server to allow
remote workstations to get fonts.

I suggest that for simplicity, you set USE_XFS = "N"
and install the ltsp_x_fonts package.
