        the problem is not with the client but with the server. you have
to make sure that the x font server is running (service xfs restart) and
that the server actually is listening: at the end of the file
/usr/X11R6/lib/fs/config there is a line "no-listen = tcp". cooment it out
and restart xfs. you could also disable the use of xfs fonts by
clients by setting "USE_XFS = N" in lts.conf. julius
