Hi Joseph,

We are still working out the parameter for the project, but there are
basically two parts. One, the standard LTSP-mosix setup for local client
clustering, and the second part in which we will probably need a minimalist
install of Linux with about the same standards as the LTSP client on a local
drive but without any of the extra applications that are normally added by
the larger distributions such as RedHat and Mandrake. In the second type, we
will be adding our own special applications as needed and wish to keep it as
small as possible.

The LTSP looks good and a lot of work seems to have gone into its design. In
the past I have set up a few diskless systems and had noticed that the
bandwidth for the price of the NFS communications seems to be one of the
major hit in performance factors, and at the time was unacceptable for my
particular needs on those systems.

Cheers,
Lonnie :)
