Ken,
If the mouse is on COM2, then you want /dev/ttyS1 in lts.conf.
And, for your hostname, make sure you have:
use-host-decl-names on;
in your dhcpd.conf file, otherwise dhcpd won't pass
the hostnames back to the workstation.
And, make sure your workstations are listed in /etc/hosts
or in your DNS tables.
