There isn't any reason to skimp on a $10-15 case after buying all this stuff.
It'll come with a switch. The ATX mobos expect a momentary connection for a
power on signal. Keeping it on, as you would if you jumpered the terminals,
means power down in some mobos (K7S5A comes to mind).  Also the case will have
LEDs that you connect to various jumpers and the status of these is explained
in the manual and will help in diagnosing any problems that may be. Usually
BIOS reset jumpers are in the default position, but doesn't hurt to check.
Then you can swap memory and power supplies. But it's early days yet for that.

Also, the subject more usefully, would be "Power up problems with AMD/Biostar
client" or something like that.
