Chris, First of all, I need to know, are you talking about the 'Display Manager' or the 'Window Manager' ?
The display manager is the program that presents the Login dialog. The Window manader is the desktop that you see, once you are logged in. And, LTSP doesn't install a display manager or a window manager. It just uses whatever is there. It does, however, configure the display manager to listen for remote workstations.
