I need to survey to figure out what software is running with Thin
Clients (Disk less)
If anybody know some, please add it to the list and / or answer if you
could run them. Thanks!

1. USB hard disk
I want to use a USB hard disk for backup, .... Thin Clients are "thin",
floppy, CD-ROM or others would not fit in, but sometimes you still need
local devices. When I reboot the Thin Client, the LED on the USB hard
disk light up, but than goes out and I cannot get the USB port
activated. Could it mean that the kernel is not supporting USB, or do I
need to setup in lts.conf something for USB?

2. Voice over IP
Is any packages available, which allows Voice over IP with a Thin Client ?

3. IPv6
Is the kernel IPv6 ready?
BTW, if I want to recompile a new kernel, is the existing config file
somewhere available, so that I just edit the new features I need,
instead of starting from scratch?

4. Assuming we get Voice over IP and the USB port for the camera
running, can we make Video converencing too ??

5. Staroffice, E-office, open office Any experience available?

6. Can I run / display only of Autocad drawings?

7. Smart card reader
Is there a package available, which allows to get the Smart card reader
working? Which Smart card reader should I use?

8. Is any messenger working (AOL, ICQ, Yahoo, ... ????)

Please add comments, and at the end we can format it as a home page for
ltsp.org.

bye

Ronald
