Mikkel,
thanks for the documentation!

On a related note, has anyone else seen odd lockup problems with this?
I've found that my laptop (a Dell Inspiron) most emphatically does not
like multiple X sessions.

It frequently locks up hard when switching from one VT to another. If I
switch from one VT with X to another VT with X, the machine will lock up
more than 50% of the time. If I switch from X to test, then to X, it
doesn't happen as often but still happens sometimes.

The laptop has never locked up when only one copy of X was running.

"Hard lockup" in this case means that not even the power button will
turn off the machine.

Any ideas?
