Hmm, found this on the www.xfree86.org website:

http://www.xfree86.org/4.2.0/Status9.html

Looks like the 5426 chipset is supported in Xfree86 3.3.6 by the 'cirrus'
driver.

It also looks like the 5426 chipset isn't supported in Xfree86 4.2.0.

Do you know which version you're using?
