Lee,

I successfully set up K12LTSP on RH8. In fact it ran terminals "right
out of the box" even though version 3.0 "distro" is still in beta. You
can get it from ftp://k12linux.mesd.k12.or.us/pub/devel/3.0/

The rest was not all plain sailing:

* Evolution's fonts didn't show. Eric Harrison suggested setting USE XFS
= Y in lts.conf and that worked.

* Samba printing from Windows workstations took ages to set up.

* Sendmail and Postfix are installed by default. I don't use them, but
some cracker found a way to send lots of spam on my behalf, most
embarrassing.

Having got over those, I like RH8. Nautilus is much faster and more
stable.

Try it!

Regards,

John Ingleby
