Yea, VIA are on a winner with these beauties. I cannot find anyone with stock in Australia; Real hot cakes.
Even the Low end ones (500Mhz) without fan would make good terminal server clients, the new ones even have 5.1 surround sound 900Mhz processor, All I think have svideo and video out (config by jumpers I believe). Well done VIA!

Daniel,
the wall-mart pc uses VIA mb, not Epia, but C3 800MHz. This is the
one with a processor fan and somewhat larger form factor - 3 pci slots.
you can not run them in absolute quiet, they will not fit in the very
small casetronic box, but they are just fine otherwise. what i did with
mine was to dump lindows, recycle the disk drives and use the boxes as
bootable terminals. i am rethinking the use of ltsp in the small branch
offices, and actually running a full blown linux on the desktop might be a
pretty good solution that avoids the cost of a server. the wal-mart boxes
would be good for it, after memory upgrade - 64MB is not adequate to run
oo and other stuff locally. julius

Julius,
Did I understand you correctly that the Wal-Mart $199 pcs use the Via mini-itx
motherboard? Presumably the 800 mHz Epia-M?
