I use 1152x864 at 16bpp. I have a 17" monitor. I would consider 1024x768 to be the smallest I'd want, however, I have added the -dpi 91 to the XFree command line so the fonts appear at a reasonable size. (This seemed to be the default anyway with ATI cards on XFree 4 - and I grew to like it.)Hi everyone!I am doing some research into the highest Video resolution used by the average LTSP user I personally always use 800x600 at 16 bit color Does anyone else use higher resolutions than this? If so, how high, and what applications need this higher resolution? Would you be comfortable using these applications at 800x600 if the cost savings were high. Thank you
I do quite a lot of streaming multimedia over ltsp, having just got freevo more or less working. (Although, for tv the sound arrives about 1/2 second after the picture!) (Using sox to send the output of /dev/dsp2 to esd... - It's instant on the server but late on the remote workstation.)
