I am finally making progress.

After not getting anywhere with my Mandrake/LTSP install, I decided to
download the Mandrake Terminal Services package from the Mandrake cooker. It
is similar to LTSP except that it uses cluster NFS and they have a gui to
help you configure the server and create boot disks. Still no boot at the
workstation. It grabs an ip address from dhcp and tries to load the kernel
and just sits there with "...(NBI)... ......." just like LTSP. At this point
I was pretty sure that I had gone over the server and ruled out any problems
there. ( Thanks to Anselm and Pedro) So I decided to make a boot disk for the
firewall/proxy computer and see if it would boot. It worked!

I don't know what is wrong with the other machine. I assume it is a problem
with the nic. It has a realtek 8139too chip. Like I was saying it is detected
and grabs an ip address but will not load the kernel. I think that I may go
back to the LTSP and compare it to the Mandrake Terminal Services. I noticed
that KDE was rather slow with Mandrake Terminal Services, but Icewm was
snappy.

Thanks for all the help!
