If they are identical drives, you should be able to do this with /bin/dd If you put both the drives in a linux box and it detects them as hdb and hdc (hda being the box's own drive), just type dd if=/dev/hdb of=/dev/hdc It will take a while. Some of the beowulf cluster documentation suggests you do this to clone drives for cluster nodes. Another cool option would be to create a diskless server. I know it's been discussed on this list, but I haven't tried it.....yet.
