Ok, I'm a step further. I went to rom-o-matic,and downloaded a DOS command image. I copied that to a hard disk that boots into dos. Hooked it up to the mini-itx, and ran the rom-o-matic file.
Network card found... DHCP found, and returns IP no's Then I get a screen full of.. ALERT: got a fragmented packet - reconfigure your server So I check the server logs, and not much happening there. in.tftp was running in standalone mode at this point, so I killed that off, and re-established xinetd (adding the two extra lines from Holger). Now the mini-itx shows the kernel image filename, followed by a series of dots, as if it's loading. It's been like that 10 minutes now. But look at my log file, it's full up with.... Mar 16 18:50:28 [xinetd] START: tftp pid=12148 from=192.168.0.101 Mar 16 18:50:28 [xinetd] FAIL: tftp address from=192.168.0.101 Mar 16 18:50:28 [xinetd] START: tftp pid=12149 from=192.168.0.101 Mar 16 18:50:28 [xinetd] FAIL: tftp address from=192.168.0.101 Mar 16 18:50:28 [xinetd] START: tftp pid=12150 from=192.168.0.101 Mar 16 18:50:28 [xinetd] FAIL: tftp address from=192.168.0.101 Mar 16 18:50:28 [xinetd] START: tftp pid=12151 from=192.168.0.101 Any ideas? Feeling a bit happier now that I have some errors to play with! The network connection is fine.
