Pretty much a configuration problem with DHCPD or the boot image and
card type mismatch.
If the dots come then it is former that is creating the trouble. See
that your dhcpd.conf is set up to recognize the NIC card and points it
to the boot server.
Documentation at LTSP is the way to go.
