Dongsheng,
first, get a list of the files you installed:
$ tar tf program-tarfile.tar

Then just delete the files in the list.  Don't do this:
$ rm `tar tf program-tarfile.tar`
because you will delete more than you should (for example, if a file has
a config file named etc/fubar, the tar file will list "/etc" and 
"/etc/fubar" and your "rm" would try to delete /etc.  This would be most
unpleasant).
