Did you try checking your SERVER parameter
in the lts.conf file ?

If you stray from the default 192.168.0.254 for the server,
you'll need to adjust the SERVER parameter.

How about looking at this doc

    http://www.ltsp.org/contrib/gray_screen.html

Still can't get it ?

Try popping into the #ltsp irc channel at irc.freenode.net,
plenty of folks to help you there.
