Hey Jim,

Basically the whole system hangs...
)It reaches a point (I am trying to find where) that when a process is
ran it hangs
)I had my RH Sysmonitor on and mem usage was at 37% of 3gb, swap 0% of
6gb
)CPU0 and CPU1 were both running between 17% and 59% with and
occassional spike to 100%
)Server and thin-clients all at the same time
)Have not tried to ping the server during the "hang" (Production Server)
)The only way to recover is to hard boot the sever, once that is done
all things return to normal.

I do have an idea from a list member in regards to hardware probable
causes, since the system was funning just fine. (one of the processor
fan running slow, causing processor to overheat), from the chat group I
got some memtest ideas, all of which I will try and troubleshoot during
off hours. I will let the list know my results later this evening after
this things are tried.

Thanks for your response.
Sorry about the double (jim)

Oscar,

You described in great detail your hardware, but you didn't describe the
problem, other than the subject line.

When you say it hangs daily, how about more detail ?

Does the whole system hang ?

Server and clients at the same time ?

Can you ping the server ?

Can you press Alt-F1, Alt-F2 on the server to get additional screens ?

How do you recover ? Reboot ?

Please describe the PROBLEM more thorougly, and we'll try to help you.
