I recently acquired a Sun Sparcstation 5. Would this machine work well
as an LTSP server? It maxes out at 256 Megs of RAM. Would it work
suitably for serving 3-5 clients? If not, would it work well as a
client? If so, does anyone know if this thing can be netbooted? The
service manual for it seems to indicate that it can boot over the
network. As a server, I assume that as long as I use a distro that
supports the architecture that it should run Linux just fine. As a
client, is it just a matter of making the appropriate kernel available
from the server if it netboots? If anyone has any insight into this I
would love to hear it. All help appreciated.
Thanks.
Rob
