I changed from a parallel to a USB printer on a client and I was amazed
at how easy it was to swap:

#
#   PRINTER_0_DEVICE    = /dev/lp0
#   PRINTER_0_TYPE      = P
#
    MODULE_01          = usb-uhci
    MODULE_02          = printer
    PRINTER_0_DEVICE   = /dev/usb/lp0
    PRINTER_0_TYPE     = S
