Jim,
First of all sorry for including the long tcpdump output, but you see I
was trying to boot the machine from last 5 days and I thought the
messages may convey the problem. I will keep this in mind from now
onwards.
And seriously thanks at least I see some light out of darkness.
I am using RTL 8139 and etherboot on client.
I also remember my dhcpd failed once and reported that some other
program is using the port and I disabled PXE and it gets started.
Any more details should I write.

Take care and Bye

Amit,

First of all, please don't include long tcpdump output
unless we ask for it. IN this case, it really doesn't help.

What kind of network card do you have on the workstation ?

How are you booting ? Etherboot ? PXE ?
