        it depends heavily on where you live. in US, you can get away with
a $300 client. VIA mobo and castronic case (small) are about $180, you can
buy an Idot cd based linux box for $169. monitors are cheap. If you want
to experiment, you can do nicely what i've done crudely: one of the users
knocked a 15"lcd screen off the desk and the case broke into many pieces.
amazingly, the lcd still worked. i noticed that the power suply was 12VDC,
so i just glued a VIA mobo to the back and soldered wires from the lcd to
the power supply board rescued from a crushed casetronic box. it is really
ugly, but works great and even if built from new oieces should come around
$350. in Europe, you will pay more, much more ... julius
