Volker,

Yes, I've seen this 'Mouse shifting' problem.  I can't explain
why or when it happens, but I know that the fix is to
add the following entry to your lts.conf file:

   X_DEVICE_OPTION_01 = SWCursor

That has taken care of the problem whenever I've seen it happen.
