Hello list (and in particular Jim!),
If you remember back to December 2002 you will remember some
discussions about setting up some LTSP machines in the Press Room at
LinuxWorld. We came up with the idea too late for it to happen at
LinuxWorld 2003 but I have been in touch with IDG (the people who
organize LinuxWorld) and ShowNet (the people who set up the Press Room)
and we are "GO" for LinuxWorld 2004.

WHAT:
We (that is the LTSP Community) will be setting up some number of LTSP
machines (4 or so) for the Press to use in the Press room at the
LinuxWorld Conference and Expo at the Jacob Javits Center in New York
City

WHEN:
 January 20th through January 23rd 2004

WHY
This is a great opportunity to get the LTSP in front of the people who
write the news! LTSP already has won a well deserved award at LinuxWorld
in SF, now let's see if we can get some main-stream press coverage in
the world's largest media market!

WHAT YOU CAN DO
We need all sorts of things for this to be a success: Coordination
between the booth and Press Room efforts, Literature, ideas, signs,
manpower, machines, etc., etc.

FIRST...
Do you think we should show a slick "high tech" system (i.e. Jim's
clients, flat panels, etc.) or should we show how old "crap" works great
(i.e. dirty old Pentium machines)? Maybe a combination of both?

I AM GOING TO..
do whatever is needed to make this a great success but I need help so
please join in!

I look forward to hearing from everyone!

Pete
