Hi there!!So the client sits there: "DHCP......" ?
I have a test server running redhat 9.0 and i have
configured all the other important files for the k12LTSP to
run. The problem is that the client does not get the dhcp
and for it to boot from either the floppy or the pxe..
thanx for your time
Do other clients run on that server?
If not, have a look into /etc/dhcpd.conf (compare to example files, or quote here), look if the dhcp daemon is really running (netstat -l -n -p | grep dhcp),
are there messages inside /var/log/messages like "DHCPNACK - no free leases"?
If other clients can boot, do they have a host {} section in dhcpd.conf, and your new client doesn't? How do they differ from each other?
HTH,
Anselm
