Hello all, Im sorry that Ive described my problem in a unclear manner. I try a better description: For our purpose - a LTSP-Terminal instead of HP9000-Terminal like HP700/96 or HP2392A ...:
In order to boot a thinClientPc over network/floppy we use a linux7.3Pc. It handles dhcpd and rcnamed. On it there is the lts.conf file. On the other side are HP9000 Machines (K260, E25/35, D250/350 ...). What I want is a diskless PC from which I do a TelnetSessionConnection to these HP9000 machines using the linux7.3Pc in the background. My problem is: Other HP9000 Servers do well, only one makes trouble with runlevel 5. It boots as usual and when it starts X then only the sandglass appears. Nothing goes forward then, although when I execute netstat -a|grep 177 on this HP9000, it shows udp 0 0 *.177 *.* which should be ok. The other HP9000s really have no problem, I get the HP CDE Startscreen with the "Welcome to hostname" - Please enter your user name ... On the HP9000 machine there is a /users/userxxxyyy directory with the traditional files like .xsession, .profile .mwmrc and so on. Just as normal HP9000 users .
