Try following for the user who is starting OpenOffice.org: rm ~/.sversionrc rm -R ~/OpenOffice.org (or the OpenOffice-directory) kill -9 $(pidof soffice.bin) /opt/OpenOffice.org/program/soffice --> install the Office (or use the OpenOffice-wrapper from SuSE) and then tell us if the start of OpenOffice is allways to slow. And take care that the user is only _one_ time starting the OpenOffice.org. There are some users at my Terminalserver which start OpenOffice.org several times and so they have to wait much longer. Btw. there was a teacher in my school working with the kid at the terminals and they didn't know they have to wait the first time of OpenOffice just a minute till OpenOffice is started and so every pupil of the class have startet OpenOffice many times ... they had to wait half an hour till the Office was started. -- Viele Grüße/kind regards (o_ (o_ Dieter //> (o_ (o_ //\ http://www.linux-in-der-schule.de V_)_ (/)_ (\)_ V_/_ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials.
