it's not so the difference between graphics or text pages. it's also slow if i
print a cups test page. obvious printing of large graphics the renderer needs
more time.

i print to the parallel port attached to the client box, not the server. most
probably cups is translating it to graphics. because of needing both
(graphics and text) i need in every case fast printing.

it's  not the fact that the printer prints long time per page. if it prints
printing speed is ok for this old printer. the problem that i have is that
the printer waits for data some minutes.

do you think that is a printer problem?
