I am attempting to install Suse 9.0 with LTSP 4. I am fairly sure I installed LTSP 4 correctly, but I have a question or two about the configuration.
When I run ltspcfg, I see a message saying the following:
Checking Tftpd... use of uninitialed value in scalar chomp at /usr/sbin/ltspcfg line 818.
Use of uninitialized value in string eq /usr/sbin/ltspcfg line 819
However, I can continue the configuration utility. When I check the status, I get the following:
Installed Enabled Running
dhcpd Y Y N
tftpd Y N Y
portmapper Y Y Y
NFS Y Y Y
xdmcp Y N Y
the files (hosts, hosts.allow, exports, lts.conf) are all configured (according to the utility).
When I exit the utility I try to dhcpd start I receive an error after a whole bunch of information which contains a statement that " Not configured to listed on any interfaces" So... I tried to go into the Suse Control Center. WHen I try to start DHCP, the Samba configuration starts. I tried rebooting, same issue.
What I need to know is first have I fried my Suse system? No big deal - as it was a fresh install. Second, am I on the right track for the installation of LTSP? I plan on downloading K12LTSP over the next few days as a backup, but I would like to get LTSP working as a challenge.
Any advice would be greatly welcomed. Have a nice weekend. Michael
