Ken,

I finally got time to setup rdesktop and it seems to work well, however as per your note should I conclude that yuo can't have multiple rdesktop sessions form an XP Pro box even if you have several clients defined ?

As if that's trus is there a way around this "problem" ?

thanks

It is true that you can only have one remote desktop user logged into a Windows XP box at a time. That is thanks to the wisdom of Microsoft to force you to purchase Windows 2003 Advanced Server to get multiple users.

All is not lost. A company called Thin Soft (www.thinsoftinc.com) has a product called WinConnect Server XP. This product allows multiple users to connect and run multiple sessions to an Windows XP box (just like W2K3 server). The price is so-so ($100/license purchased in blocks of 3). You can download a 7-day trial and test things out.

I have been working on my own version of a program to allow multiple Windows XP remote desktop sessions to run concurrently. Just have a basic RDP protocol redirector working. Don't have the ability for more than one user yet.
