Hi;

With LTSP-4, I have good sessions running from my
Fedora Core 1 server. When running applications
on the server that use sound, the sound comes out
the terminal's speakers fine.

I installed a standalone flash player as a local
application and it displays fine, but it only
produces a "blip" sound from the speakers when the
flash player tries to produce sound.

I "ssh" into the terminal, and run a local app
to produce a sound, but get a "blip" and the error
message:

    $ esdplay testfile.wav
    "/dev/dsp: Resource temporarily unavailable"

If I run it against the network port, I get a "blip"
and no message:

    $ esdplay -s localhost:16001 testfile.wav
    $

Note: I made sure the "/dev/dsp" is writeable by
everyone by doing a "chmod 666 /dev/dsp" in the
"etc/rc.sound" file.

Local sound is my last hurdle and any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.

Tom
