May I ask which school, from personal interest? I'm working on the
school network in Kardinal-Frings-Gymnasium, Bonn, and always
interested to read from other german schools.

In LTSP 4 , there's the ltspinfod. I think with some parameter set it
can be used to remote shutdown the workstation. Your best bet is to
get it from CVS and have a look, I'm not up to date. Or join the IRC
and hope to meet someone who knows, jammcq's around often for example.
