Hi Try going to the YAST control center, then go to "Install and Remove Software" and search for the string "nfs". As a result, a package called "nfs-server" will appear. Its a userspace NFS server. I suggest you to install that package. You will be asked to remove the package "nfs-utils", used to access the kernel NFS server. Do it. Reconfigure/run this server if necessary.
I had the same problem using SuSE 9.0, which I solved exactly this way. Good luck. ----- Mensaje Original ----- De: Alea Jagodnik <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Fecha: Lunes, Abril 26, 2004 8:41 pm Asunto: Re: [Ltsp-discuss] client stops at nfs: > i've tried reinstaling all: nfs-util, dhcp, ltsp4...followe same > instuctions, no results > I did find some reference regarding "NFS-server 192.168.3.254 OK & > not > responding" messages (repeating). it says it has to do with the > performance > also, when i try to manually start(restart) NFS it responds: > importing NetFileSystem unused!!! > > starting nfsserver, nfslock... all yield "done". > > is this a problem with suse 9.0? would moving to some other > distribution > (like gentoo or debian) solve the problem? > i need to setup up a ltsp server for my diploma research (ltsp > terminals > in school use) > > thanks for all the answers so far > Ales > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: The Robotic Monkeys at ThinkGeek > For a limited time only, get FREE Ground shipping on all orders of $35 > or more.
