This is hosts.allow less the # lines...

## LTS-begin ##
bootpd: 0.0.0.0
in.tftpd: 192.168.0.
portmap: 192.168.0.
## LTS-end ##
This is the hosts file...
127.0.0.1 DanaLinux localhost localhost.localdomain
192.168.0.6 DanaLinux
192.168.0.102 ws001
192.168.0.103 ws002
192.168.0.77 dfprouter
The last line is for a Linux based router that I was
going to use but have decided not to use. It's not
connected at all. There are 2 Win98 stations connected
through SMB (which are working) with 192.168.0.20 and
192.168.0.40 for IP's. The plan is to use ltsp and not
have Windows anywhere except one station that will fax
when needed.
The exports file is...
/opt/ltsp/i386
192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0(ro,no_root_squash,sync)
/var/opt/ltsp/swapfiles
192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,async)
/home/data
192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,async)
Brian, you can see that this is weird and I donwloaded
the version 3 documentation in html from the web site
and printed it out. I have used it as a "go by" to
troubleshoot and check out everything. The only thing
strange that I have seen is when I ran...
rpcinfo -p localhost
and it reported...
   program vers proto port
    100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper
    100000 2 udp 111 portmapper
    100024 1 udp 32768 status
    100024 1 tcp 32768 status
    100011 1 udp 801 rquotad
    100011 2 udp 801 rquotad
    100011 1 tcp 804 rquotad
    100011 2 tcp 804 rquotad
    100003 2 udp 2049 nfs
    100003 3 udp 2049 nfs
    100021 1 udp 41659 nlockmgr
    100021 3 udp 41659 nlockmgr
    100021 4 udp 41659 nlockmgr
    100005 1 udp 41660 mountd
    100005 1 tcp 58252 mountd
    300019 1 tcp 919 amd
    300019 1 udp 920 amd
When I ran "man" amd is an automatic mounter but
nlockmgr has no man and adding --help after it gets me
nothing. I wonder if that has something?
Regards,
Dana
