Hi All :
As suggested I did the ./setup -net install (pretty sure it was not setup like that before so I removed so7 and re-installed it).
No I get other strange and VERY frustrating behaviour :-(
When a user starts a so7 app, he has to 'complete' the user side of the installation.
When I select /home/user/startoffice7 (the suggested directory) I get a 'not enough space error' ... on an almost empty 160GB disk with NO user restrictions what so ever on the Novell side.
I can cp files in a terminal window without problems into the /home/user directory but NOT with nautilus (gnome 2.4) same error...
The workaround I have now (ugly but working) is to have the user run the setup script and use /tmp/user as the directory
(/tmp is not ncp mounted, just a plain ext3)
Then I copy the staroffice directory (and everything under it) into /home/user.
I then change every occurence of "/tmp/" in every file under /home/user/staroffice into "/home/"
It is working but damn ugly...
Thanks for the -net reminder, totally forgot that.
Regards
Peter
