The log files show that they contact the DHCP server and the DHCP server gives an IP but NOT the one that I specify to give their particular MAC address - it just hands out an IP from the regular pool. So, the client then complains that it doesn't have a boot file. I am using the correct MAC addresses and the log file confirms that DHCP server is seeing that MAC address correctly.
I can't figure it out, and I thought maybe somneone else might have run into something similar. Maybe some of these NetVistas have a DHCP client in firmware that isn't compatible with my dhcp server? Trouble is, the first thing I am attempting here is a firmware upgrade, so I'm in a bit of a catch-22.
thanks for any and all advice.
