I guess I found a work-around for my problem. I'll post here in case it
helps someone else.

As for the driver, I'm not having much luck using the sb driver. As per my first message, I'm getting this error message:

Sound: DMA (input) timed out - IRQ/DRQ config error?

which prints to the console infinitely. This error message actually follows a "Recording overrun." message, which I just discovered.

I worked around this issue by disabling 'Full duplex' in aRts. Not a big deal, since I don't need it anyway.

Is it possible that esd just doesn't work with this chipset? I'll work on getting nasd onto my LTSP system to see if I can get a better experience with that sound server.

Both esd and nasd work fine for playing audio. Recording audio may be problematic.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get Flashplayer to work with arts?
I found an old message that said Flash will work with esd, but not
arts. Has this changed?

Thanks

Nathan
