This may sound dumb, but I have some questions. Here is what I am trying to do.
I have 5 IBM thin clients. They have PowerPC processors in them. I would like to use either a Linux or Irix(SGI Unix Varient) as the host OS. I know I would have to compile a Linux kernel for them. Do I have to have a X setup, compiled for PowerPC for them? Basically my question is, Do my clients and Server have to be the same architecture? (Sorry about the spelling errors if there are any.) Assume that DHCP, and X work on the servers. Thanks for any help.
