I am new at this LTSP so please bare with this question – I am just starting to develop a server and am attempting to content to the server with a workstation booting from a floppy (to begin with). LTSP 3.0 running on Mandrake 9.0 – the workstation has a DAVICOM 9102/A PCI Fast NIC and I have tried to use ROM-O-Matic to download and create a bootable diskette. The problem I have encountered is that the w/s will not lease an IP from the DHCP server. The w/s appears to boot correctly giving the MAC address of the NIC – which I have included in the DHCP configuration file – however all I get is a TX timeout error . The test w/s/ currently has XP Pro also installed on it and when I boot it using XP – it does lease and IP form the DHCP server – however – not when I boot the w/s form the floppy – Any suggestions???
