Thanks for your answer. But it is not overheating: many times the server will hang just a few minutes after starting (after a night turned off), there is no pattern over when it is locking. Many times it will lock in the morning and then spend the rest of the day without problems. Also, there was no noticed relation between cold and warm days and the server locking up...
One thing I might have forgotten is that it does not seem to matter how many clients are connected at the moment: once there was only one client connected and it locked nevertherless. However, when there is NO clients connected (weekends) the server does just fine, never locking.
