Hi,
there are a few workstations here where sometimes the mouse runs wild, i. e. suddenly when moving the mouse, windows will pop up and the mouse arrow is no longer under control.
About 10 of the workstations have the same mouse type (a PS/2 optical with scrolling wheel), but only 4 or 5 of these workstations sometimes fail. Four of them are connected to a 100 MBit hub which is different from all the other connections in the network, so I first thought that hub might be the problem. But today, number 5 failed, so this cannot really be the reason. There is only one thing they all have in common: They are the most advanced computers there, PIIs with 65 MB RAM.
Does anyone have an idea what it might be?
Rolf
