Did you change anything else besides the LTSP installation? Linux 2.6 kernel seems to have some NFS-related problems.

No, nothing. But NFS might be a reason...

I suggest that you try using the old vidlist file from the LTSP3 installation. Just make a backup copy of the 4.1 vidlist and replace it with LTSP3 vidlist.
