Hi Michael,
on my configuration, OOo runs very slowly on half of the LTSP clients. In fact, it's so slow that it's hardly usable. This is due to a bug, and the bug is well-known, and someone told me to install a later version to get rid of it, but it didn't help. As far as I remember, the problem is with older X-servers, so Wyatt may not have any problems with it.
It's a bit off-topic here, but let me just add that OOo isn't a cure to all the problems in the daily office business.
Why looking for uncomfortable costy solutions, Open Office is free at: http://www.openoffice.org/
I do as much as possible with it, and it fulfills almost every need, but there are these few little things that you cannot possibly do with it (yet?). One of them is "easy-to-use forms" as in Word.
I'm using this function of Word heavily here in my office, and it's a real time-saver. As I am doing everything on my own, including daily answering of enquiries, I need a fast solution made for practice. If they would include this (or change/ammend the existing forms functionality of OOo respectively) I could leave good old Word alone. But the existing way of doing it in OOo just doesn't come up to it.
